Hi, I'm Austin,

I shoot docs, commercials, narrative features, and anything else that needs a good image. I also work as a specialty operator doing aerial, underwater, time-lapse, plus 2nd unit work.

My process always begins with STORY. Before I pickup a camera, I need to understand the core of any idea, then design the right approach to bring that to life. Everything else, the framing, the movement, the gear, has to earn its place alongside that.

I've shot in a lot of strange places, and if there's one thing I've learned: it's to stay FLEXIBLE. Gear breaks, weather changes, and if we’re lucky, the creative turns into something better! I like to start with a well thought out plan and leave room to flow and improvise in the moment.

I'm also a big believer in team COLLABORATION. The best ideas happen when we bring in good people and work through it together. I don't believe in a single right way to get a shot, but rather trusting the right PROCESS to find our own way… whether by land, sea, or air.

On my free time you can find me living in a foreign country, diving into a dark underwater hole, or making fresh ski tracks.

Hit me up if you’ve got a story to tell, I'd love to hear about it.

Specialty skillset: Aerial, Underwater, 2nd unit DoP, Operating, & time-lapse photography.

Based between Los Angeles, USA and Bali, Indonesia
